106 - 5303 Magasin Avenue Beaumont AB T4X 1V8 · Personal Services

Inspection summary

Daisy Nails Beaumont has been inspected 6 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since June 18, 2024. The most recent inspection, on August 26, 2026, found no infractions.

5 of 6 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 3 inspections with 1 infraction recorded. All recorded findings relate to upkeep, equipment or paperwork rather than direct infection-control risks to clients.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for clients. In personal service settings like salons, spas and tattoo studios, higher-risk findings are the ones that could spread infection from one client to the next, through broken skin, blood or instruments that were not properly cleaned and sterilized.

  • Equipment and utensilsLower risk

Instruments, chairs, tables and footbaths must be made of materials that can be cleaned, kept in good repair and stored so they stay clean. Single-use items such as nail files, buffers, razors and needles must be thrown away after each client.

Recorded once on August 13, 2026. For example: Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • ** Reusable semi-critical equipment and tools were not being disinfected using an approved high-level disinfectant between clients. The practice of using acetone, alcohol spray, or UV device and reserving PreEmpt CS20 only for clients with visible debris, does not meet approved high-level disinfection standards. UV light cabinets are permitted for clean storage only, not for primary disinfection.**Reusable instruments were not fully submerged in the high-level disinfectant solution. Only the tips of the tools were submerged due to inadequate chemical volume and an unsuitable container size/shape.** The operator failed to maintain required documentation and testing logs for High-Level Disinfection processes.ACTION REQUIRED:1) Immediately cease using acetone, alcohol sprays, or UV light cabinets as primary methods of disinfection. All reusable semi-critical equipment (e.g., cuticle nippers, tweezers, nail clippers etc.) must be thoroughly cleaned and then fully processed through an approved High-Level Disinfectant (such as PreEmpt CS20) between every client, regardless of visible cleanliness.2) Provide a chemical immersion container of adequate size and depth, along with sufficient PreEmpt CS20 solution, to ensure that all reusable semi-critical instruments can be completely submerged for the full manufacturer-recommended contact time (20 minutes for PreEmpt CS20).3) Establish and maintain an up-to-date High-Level Disinfection Log on site.
