    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The ice scoop was observed being stored inside the ice machine. Staff were instructed to remove the scoop and store it in a manner that prevents the handle from coming into contact with the ice.

    • 01. Is the mobile food vendor in compliance with verbal and/or written approvals and/or orders issued by an Executive Officer, and is the Executive Officer able to exercise their duties without obstruction or interference?
      • The operator if the facility asked me to leave the facility during the inspection indicating that her facility does not fall under my district. I confirmed to the operator that her facility still falls under my district, and I am here to do routine inspection. If the operator does not allow me to enter the facility, it will be considered as obstruction to complete my duties. At this point the operator allowed me to enter the facility to complete the inspection.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Disposable glasses were stored on the kitchen floor. Operator was advised that all food and utensils need to be stored on shelves at least 6 inches above kitchen floor. Operator moved the disposable glasses from kitchen floor to a shelf at the time of inspection.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Operator was using two compartment dish washing sink for hand washing. Operator is educated that a dedicated hand wash sink is needed. Mobile unit is provided with single compartment sink and operator agreed to dedicate it for hand washing. Operator moved soap and paper towels to this sink at the time of inspection.
    • 14. Does the mobile food vendor have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Hot water system was switched off and hot water was not there. Upon asking, operator switched on hot water system at the time of inspection.
