      • No written procedures available.- Ensure written procedures are filled out and followed. Operator will be provided with written procedures template.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Re-usable esthetic tools used for eyebrow tinting, including tweezers and combs, were being disinfected in a glass of alcohol. This alcohol solution was not labelled as a 'disinfectant', has no instructions for disinfection, and therefore cannot be used for tool disinfection.REQUIREMENT: Cease the use of alcohol as a disinfectant. Operation must use a low-level disinfectant at minimum.2) The Pre-empt RTU solution was expired since August 2024.REQUIREMENT: Replace and/or discard expired disinfectant promptly to ensure it's not used by staff. 3) The Wahl disinfectant spray for hair clippers was expired - Clippercide was available as a replacement disinfectant.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • The following areas were visibly unclean:- Inside the tool drawers of some hairstylist stations (which is making hair tools dirty with hair).- Along the edges of the shelving drawers by hairstylist stations.- On top of the bed used for waxing.REQUIREMENT: Keep these areas, along with the facility, in a visibly clean state.

      • 1. Acquire test strips for high-level disinfectant2. Start and maintain record keeping for testing of high-level disinfectant. Operator will be provided record log sheet.

      • No skin cleanser available prior to waxing service. - Acquire a skin cleanser and include it in written procedures.
