What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded once on July 2, 2026. For example: Critical Inadequate Cooling & Refrigerated Storage of Potentially Hazardous Food(s)

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on July 2, 2026. For example: Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded once on July 2, 2026. For example: Operations and Maintenance/Other

  1. Routine

    3 infractions

    • Critical Inadequate Cooling & Refrigerated Storage of Potentially Hazardous Food(s)
      • Cooked vegetables in a covered container at 28C sitting on a counter. Covered container of soup in water with ice at 44C. Covering cooling food will greatly slow the cooling process. This results in the food being in the danger zone of 60-20C for an unsafe period of time.
      • Lids offset during inspection. Hot food must never be covered until it has reached 4C. Food must cool from 60-20C within 2 hours and 20-4C in 4 hours. Do not cover cooling food in the fridge - leave the lids off containers until the internal temp, as checked with a probe thermometer is 4C.
    • Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils
      • Improper use of sanitizer solution. Food handler observed taking a tablespoon of sanitizer, pouring it onto a wet cloth and wiping surfaces. Food handler observed taking a tablespoon of sanitizer, pouring it into a small pail of turbid water and then using a cloth taken from the pail to wipe surfaces. No sanitizer detectable in this pail.
      • Sanitizer solution must be either kept at the correct concentration in a spray bottle and used with paper towel on surfaces or kept in a pail of clear water at the correct concentration. Water that is dirty or cloudy will not act effectively as a sanitizer. Test strips should be onsite and used to check the sanitizer concentration.
    • Operations and Maintenance/Other
      • Inside of vegetable fridge requires cleaning.
      • Please clean. Comments Take-out containers appropriately labeled - thank you. Soap and paper towels at hand sink. Good temperature records kept for fridges. Premises sanitation satisfactory.
