    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Gaps were identified at the entrance doors to the Food lab, that allow pest entry.- Install weather stripping on these doors to prevent pest entry into the food lab. After installation, ensure that no exterior light is visible at the bottom of the doors when viewed from inside the food premises.- Ensure all exterior doors of the building are fitted with intact and effective weather stripping to prevent pest entry
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Evidence of rodent activity was noted in the food laboratory, including dead mouse on multiple traps, mouse droppings inside stove drawers and drawer rails. • Clean and sanitize all areas contaminated with mouse dropping using an approved sanitizer solution.- Dispose of used glue traps with dead mice and install new ones.- Seal all gaps and openings in walls beneath sinks and around plumbing fixtures to prevent pest entry and harborage within wall cavities.• Assess walls for any potential point of entry (holes on walls) and seal any identified hole to prevent further pest entry into the food facility.• Remove unused or unnecessary items from the food lab, as clutter provides harborage for mice.• Store all dry food products in pest‑proof containers with tight‑fitting lids.• Ensure all exterior doors are properly fitted with intact weather stripping to prevent pest entry into the facility.
