    • 04. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this pool premises (Non-Critical)?
      • Multiple minor leaks were observed in the mechanical room. Please repair these leaks.**OUTSTANDING (2025-07-16). The leaks were still noted, and a few areas in the mechanical room were still noted having stagnant water. Please fix the leak and remove stagnant water.
    • 11. Does the pool premises have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • Anti-entrapment plans for all 4 basins require updating. Please confirm pump numbers, maximum flow rates, sump depths, interconnectedness of systems, cover max flow rates, etc. Since VGBA-2017 covers were installed, the VGBA-2017 instructions must be followed. There may be discrepancies between what was previously allowed under the VBG-2008 rules.**OUTSTANDING (2025-07-16). Anti-Entrapment Compliance Plans for all the four basins were submitted and reviewed. Some discrepancies were noted and require more information to proceed with the review. Please ensure to provide the required information.

      • Multiple minor leaks were observed in the mechanical room. Please repair these leaks.
    • 08. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool premises providing a safe environment (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) A clock was not available for the hot tub. Please install a clock that is in a location that is visible to patrons inside the hot tub.2) A clock/method to monitor length of stay is not available for the two saunas in the spa area. Please install a method for patrons to be able to monitor their length of stay.
    • 09. Is the pool premises maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • The set point temperature for the high-temperature sauna was 88C. The signage in the spa area indicated the maximum temperature of the sauna was 90C. The maximum temperature a dry sauna can operate at is 85C. Please adjust the temperature and the signage.
    • 10. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Daily logs require additions. Please add: Total Alkalinity, Flow rate, turnover, sauna and steam room temps - see section 5.1 of the pool standards.

      • 1) Remove the line about Cyanuric acid from the contamination response plan as indoor pools cannot use cyanuric acid.2)Please also add to the contamination response plan the corrective actions for when the following: ORP, free chlorine, cyanuric acid, pH and clarity in the public swimming pool are not being met. Make necessary amendments.
