      • 1. Several gloves were observed to be stored in a pile beside the diapering area in the Sapling room. 2. Paper towels were observed to be stored without an adequate dispenser beside the diapering station. 1. Ensure gloves are stored in a clean and sanitary manner such as by leaving them in the manufacturers box. 2. Ensure paper towels are stored in a clean and sanitary manner such as through use of a dispenser.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Gloves in first aid kits were observed without a plastic bag for storage to help prevent potential contamination. Ensure gloves are protected from potential contamination. The operator provided a clean pair of gloves in a Ziploc bag during inspection.

      • Several expired alcohol wipes observed in first aid kits. Ensure no expired items present in first aid kits. The operator discarded the indicated wipes during inspection.

      • 1. The diapering pad in the Sapling room was observed to be in disrepair. 2. The diapering safety belt on the diapering pad in the Sapling room was observed with several stains. 1. Ensure a new diapering pad is acquired.2. Ensure the indicated strap is cleaned and sanitized or replaced if not able to be effectively cleaned.

      • A buildup of grime was observed surrounding the diapering pad in the Sapling room. Ensure the indicated area is kept clean. The operator cleaned and sanitized the indicated area during inspection.

      • Food preparation (cutting strawberries) was observed to be conducted in the Junior Toddler (Sapling) room and not in the approved kitchen, while children were present in the room. Ensure that all food preparation takes place in the approved kitchen.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Paint was peeling off the wall in the washroom used for diaper changing. Please repair.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Some sleeping mats available in Preschool (Aspen) room were not labelled. Please be advised that if sleeping mats are not assigned (labelled), they must be disinfected on both sides after each use and dried before storage.

      • Some sleeping mats available in Preschool (Aspen) room were not labelled. Please be advised that if sleeping mats are not assigned (labelled), they must be disinfected on both sides after each use and dried before storage.

      • Some children's cups/bottles were not labelled. It was addressed during the inspection.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • No toilet paper dispenser and no paper towels dispenser were available in the Junior Toddler room. Please provide.
