      • 1. The storage cubbies in the foyer are approximately 4 ft high and are not anchored to the wall. Anchor the cubbies securely to prevent tipping hazards.Feb 13, 2026: Cubbies are not secured. Consider adding anti-tip straps or L-brackets. Ensure there is still spacing for the outlets.Or consider securing cubby units together to create a more stable, heavier unit.

      • 1. Bleach bottles in classrooms were not labeled to identify their contents. Ensure all chemical containers are clearly and accurately labeled.2. String lights were draped over the play kitchen in Room 5, creating a strangulation and electrical hazard for children. The lights were removed during the inspection.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. While observing the diapering process in Classroom 3 washroom, the staff member did not change gloves after removing the soiled diaper. The staff member then dressed the child and retrieved the sanitizer bottle while still wearing contaminated gloves. Education was provided on site. Ensure gloves are changed immediately after removing soiled diapers.Please also consider having an additional sanitizer bottle in the bathroom to prevent staff having to grab the bottle from the classroom.

      • 1. Classroom 3, 5, and 6: The windows are within 1 metre off the floor, and it cannot be confirmed if it is made of safety grade glass.Please install safety film and provide receipts to AHS.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The kitchen door cannot be locked, and it is accessible for children.Please take measures to ensure the kitchen will not be accessible for children.2. The shower basins in both bathrooms are accessible to children and there is a risk of children tampering with the shower handle. Please place a barrier to prevent children from entering the shower basin when not in use.3. There is a gap in one of the baseboard heaters which is accessible for children.Please close off access.

      • 1. Chlorine test strips are not available to monitor the sanitizer concentration.Please purchase chlorine test strips.

      • 1. The hot water temperature for the faucet located in classroom 3 exceeded the maximum temperature of 54 degrees C.Please adjust the water temperature and ensure it does not exceed the maximum. The recommended temperature is 49 degrees C.
