Inspection summary

Evangel Church has been inspected 5 times by Interior Health Authority since February 15, 2019. The most recent inspection, on April 1, 2026, found no infractions.

2 of 5 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 0 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing and Food temperature control.

Recent inspections have recorded fewer infractions than earlier ones, so the record is improving.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on March 13, 2023. For example: 3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded once on February 15, 2019. For example: 2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on July 21, 2022. For example: 1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

THIS IS CHURCH. This is a body where the pastors are lead from The Holy Spirit and God’s word. Doesn’t matter if you have just recently been saved or grew up in the church. Everyone is equally yoked, respected, and welcomed! My wife serves in the kids ministry and I serve in Celebrate Recovery (a Christ cantered recovery program.) I came almost two years ago and haven’t missed a single service, as I can watch online when I’m out of town. I’ve got to understand and know the congregation extremely well. Through God they have showered me with all the fruits and overflowing love. Praise God for leading me here, as it has saved my life, not only here on earth but eternally! I love my pastor’s and this Church. Thank you, Jesus!

We visited here Canada Day long weekend (from Edmonton) and the message was convicting and has stayed with me. Worship was really good (we missed a few songs) and the building is really nice and unique. This will be our home church away from home. The little ones came out and we all sang O Canada together. It was beautiful 🇨🇦

We went for a concert series and sat in the balcony/upper floor. Good sight and sound for the Quartetto Gelato concert in the evening. Lots of parking, plenty of seating, cushioned pews, spacious washrooms and hallways.
