Inspection summary

Evangel Church has been inspected 6 times by Interior Health Authority since August 12, 2013. The most recent inspection, on April 1, 2026, found no infractions.

5 of 6 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 0 infractions recorded. All recorded findings relate to upkeep, equipment or paperwork rather than direct food-handling risks.

The last 2 inspections in a row found no infractions. The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded 2 times on September 21, 2017. For example: 7 - Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?

THIS IS CHURCH. This is a body where the pastors are lead from The Holy Spirit and God’s word. Doesn’t matter if you have just recently been saved or grew up in the church. Everyone is equally yoked, respected, and welcomed! My wife serves in the kids ministry and I serve in Celebrate Recovery (a Christ cantered recovery program.) I came almost two years ago and haven’t missed a single service, as I can watch online when I’m out of town. I’ve got to understand and know the congregation extremely well. Through God they have showered me with all the fruits and overflowing love. Praise God for leading me here, as it has saved my life, not only here on earth but eternally! I love my pastor’s and this Church. Thank you, Jesus!

We visited here Canada Day long weekend (from Edmonton) and the message was convicting and has stayed with me. Worship was really good (we missed a few songs) and the building is really nice and unique. This will be our home church away from home. The little ones came out and we all sang O Canada together. It was beautiful 🇨🇦

Great Christmas performance. Large church with plenty of seating. Middle age pastor is very well spoken. Easy to understand. Very welcoming.

We went for a concert series and sat in the balcony/upper floor. Good sight and sound for the Quartetto Gelato concert in the evening. Lots of parking, plenty of seating, cushioned pews, spacious washrooms and hallways.
