Inspection summary

Eves Kitchen + Bar has been inspected once by Interior Health Authority, on July 28, 2023. The most recent inspection, on July 28, 2023, recorded 7 infractions.

No inspections are on record from the past 12 months. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Protecting food from contamination and Handwashing and staff hygiene.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on July 28, 2023. For example: 3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on July 28, 2023. For example: 5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?

  • Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk

Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.

Recorded once on July 28, 2023. For example: 7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded 3 times on July 28, 2023. For example: 1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded once on July 28, 2023. For example: 1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

We've been here several times since they opened in May 2025, every time we're in the area. Service is great (Ankit is very genuine and friendly), and food is tasty, especially the pizza. They have pool tables and arcade games, and they are kid-friendly. They serve breakfast during high season and they also do take out.

Food is outstanding. Home-made burgers and pizza crust dough, unique flavours (like Tikka pizza and Blue cheese burger) super crispy fish and chicken fingers, and the FRIES! Fries to die for (the chef said it’s their own blend of spices on them, including a touch of sugar). Amazing.

We really wanted to give Eve’s 5 stars. It is a wonderful spot for the community, and has such great potential. Our first visit was phenomenal, with good food and great service, and the free pool was a huge highlight on top of everything else. But after our second visit we realized it was probably because no one else was there. Our second dining experience was one of, if not, the worst dining experiences we have had. We waited 15+ minutes for water, and then received our alcoholic beverages about 20 minutes later. There were 4 of us, and the men received their drinks first, well before the ladies received theirs. While we were waiting, we witnessed 3 other tables (from 2-4 people per table) walk out due to them also having extensive wait times or just being ignored. Our mixed beverages were poorly made. Both margaritas were slimy, with a mucous texture. The paralyzers curdled, and none of the drinks tasted like they had booze in them. With the wait, the server did offer and give our table complimentary fries. Unfortunately, they were under cooked, and were crunchy from the uncooked potato, limp, and cold. We all ordered the same dish, and when they were going to serve us 2 out of the 4, they told us that they did not have enough portions for 4 plates, and if we wanted to order something else. They told us this as they were plating the 2 dishes that were ready rather than telling us and letting us know right away. So the whole table would be eating at different times. This is after waiting close to an hour plus. We decided to not order different food, so we paid for our icky drinks and left. We were not going to write a review, because tough nights can happen, but there’s more. What really irked us to create this review is that we have been following the reviews since, and have noticed that the day of our experience, there was a spamming of 5 star reviews with pictures of the food taken in the kitchen, rather than genuine consumer experience. And we have noticed that these reviews have been edited to cover a legitimate 2 star review, in order to push it to the bottom. Watching this is an insult not only to the diners who walked out and decided to not leave a negative review, but the whole valley. With all that being said, we truly hope that the restaurant can be as great as it was on our first visit, all the time, with honesty and integrity. If that were to become the case, 5 star reviews will flood in naturally.

Exceptional service, exceptional food, exceptional environment. We played free pool, had an incredible meal. The fries were outstanding. Our server was awesome! Bonus points for the flames jersey 🙌🏼. Don't skip this restaurant, it's a hidden gem. We'll be back!

A wonderful place to eat with large menu options. We had the daily special of Fish and Chips which came out quickly, hot and fresh. It was accompanied by a couple of delicious, local craft beers. The owner served us personally and made sure we had everything we could need. A warm, updated woodsy atmosphere with free pool tables and darts. Highly recommend!
