Inspection summary
Farmstrong Cider Company has been inspected 5 times by Interior Health Authority since December 18, 2019. The most recent inspection, on July 22, 2026, recorded 3 infractions.
None of the 5 inspections on record were free of infractions. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 3 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Food temperature control, Handwashing and staff hygiene and Food source, labelling and allergens.
Recent inspections have recorded more infractions than earlier ones, so it is worth reading the latest reports closely.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded 4 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on July 22, 2026. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk
Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on July 22, 2026. For example:
7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
Food source, labelling and allergensHigher risk
Food must come from approved suppliers, stay in labelled containers and be thrown out when it is spoiled or damaged, such as dented or swollen cans. Labelling matters for allergies: an unlabelled container can hide an allergen.
Recorded once on December 18, 2019. For example:
6 Are the foods from approved sources and has the operator taken steps to ensure that the food is safe for consumption?
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded 4 times across 4 separate inspections, most recently on July 17, 2025. For example:
1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

Family brought me here from Kamloops for Father's Day and it did not disappoint. The pepperoni pizza was apparently the best pizza Oliver has ever had. I went with the peanut butter jalapeño burger and it was absolute money. The cider flights were fantastic, and even the little bag of cookies we ordered was a hit. Tracey had the beef dip and said it was exceptional as well. Not the cheapest meal out, but the quality absolutely matched the price. We'll definitely be back.

We are so lucky to have this little gem to take friends and family to for a unique dining & atmosphere experience. Their chef team is always creating something new and worthy of trying! Some dishes are 6 stars while others would earn a solid 4 from my family. You really need to try all of their seasonal drinks! They are always divine. Highly recommend any of their pizzas, salads, fish or beef dishes. We've enjoyed all of them. Oh, and apparently their bread basket was the best one my son has ever had!

Very busy, cool atmosphere 10/10, food was delicious 9/10, ciders could use some work. They are very very sweet like "Okanagan ciders" I'd rank them 4/10. Worth checking out nonetheless. Also if your in the area check out Shuswap Cider Company, 10/10 cider there.

I realy like this place. Great food.loteraly the whole reason to go is the food. So good. Atmosphere is a subjective. It is casual outdoor. Personally I like it. Service is a bit doferent. Order at counter but has table service. I live in Vernon but the drive out is well worth the trip. The menue changes frequently so check out new menu every time I go. So good every time.

If you love a country style dining experience, with amazing food, calm but fun energy, AND board games at the table! You will love this place. I had gone to dinner with a group of 9, two items were already sold out (was super excited to try the beef dip) but all that proves is the quality of this restaurant! Notices are provided of limited stock (as a true farm to table establishment, this is expected) I had gotten the short rib as my replacement.. and it did not disappoint <3 Others in my group had tried the Brie, Mac & cheese, brisket sandwich, and a few others I can’t recall, but no one had any complaints. Was a great place to find and stop while exploring the area during my travel through. 10/10 recommend (Cider flights were also amazing)
