      • 1. An alcohol-based hand sanitizer was not observed. The operator indicated that they use 70% alcohol as a hand sanitizer. Please note that any hand sanitizer must either have DIN or NPN number with minimum alcohol content of 60%. Please acquire alcohol-based hand sanitizer.2. It was noted that the operator was reusing towels to dry hands. Please note to either use a single use paper towel or wash towels after each use. Please do not reuse towels.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. PreEmpt RTU was expired in 2024.2. PreEmpt CS20 test strips were expired in 2024.3. Testing logs of high-level disinfectant were not being maintained. 4. High-level disinfectant was not being tested on daily basis.Please acquire new test strips and PreEmpt RTU. Please test high-level disinfectant and maintain testing logs.5. The operator was using alcohol as a disinfectant to disinfect pedicure tubs Please note that alcohol is not considered a disinfectant and must not be used. Please acquire proper disinfectant.6. Work surfaces were not being disinfected between clients. Please use a low-level disinfectant to disinfect work surfaces between clients.
