    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Bare wood shelves were noted in the storage area. Please paint all bare wood shelves and ensure they are maintained in a smooth, easy-to-clean and moisture resistant state.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • It was noted that both diapering pads (in toddler room and baby room) were stored on countertops. These were not secured. Please secure both diapering pads.

    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • 1. The facility was unaware of that a bleach solution at 1000 ppm is required during outbreaks. Please be advised to use 1000 ppm bleach solution during outbreaks. 2. The facility was not maintaining illness/absentees' logs.Please ensure to maintain illness/absentees' logs. 3. It was noted that the facility did not have client's pre-existing conditions. Please ensure to maintain client's pre-existing conditions that might mimic GI symptoms.4. It was noted that the facility current illness policy only has 24 hours exclusion period. Please update illness policy to 48 hours exclusion period.

      • 1. It was noted that both diapering pads (in toddler room and baby room) were stored on countertops. These were not secured. Please secure both diapering pads.2. It was noted that the facility was not properly disinfecting diapering pads. please ensure to disinfect diapering pad properly.

      • Bare wood shelves were noted in the storage area. Please paint all bare wood shelves and ensure they are maintained in a smooth, easy-to-clean and moisture resistant state.
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • It was noted that the laundry is located in the toddler washroom. The operator indicated that they would relocate the laundry to storage area and requested sometime to complete this task.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Moth toys were not being washed properly in toddler room.Please ensure a moth toy bin is present and all mouth toys are being washed using commercial dishwasher.2. Toddler room was not following proper toy washing procedure.Advised staff to adhere to their toy washing day and use commercial dishwasher to wash toys. 3. Bite marks were noted on foam toys present in the toddler room. Please discard all foam toys with bite marks.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Clients' personal items were noted to be in physical contact with other clients' personal items. These were properly stored during the inspection.
