      • A Personal Services Notification was not received. It was submitted during the inspection.

      • Written cleaning and disinfection procedures were not observed. Please create written cleaning and disinfection procedures.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • 1. A hand towel was noted to be used to dry hands by the reprocessing sink. Please do not reuse hand towels. Please either ensure they are being laundered after each use or use paper towels to dry hands.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • Reusable equipment was not being cleaned between clients. Please note that all reusable equipment must be washed with soap and water and then rinsed with clean water prior to disinfecting them. These were cleaned and disinfected during the inspection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. A high-level disinfectant to disinfect semi-critical equipment was noted to be expired in 2021. The nail room have PreEmpt CS20 and the operator reached out the operator of the nail area to see whether they are allowed to use this product. The nail owner agreed. 2. It was noted that the facility was not maintaining contact time of Clippercide and Lysol wipes and Zytec wipes. Please ensure clippers remain wet for at least 10 minutes to achieve manufacture's instructed contact time. Please ensure work surfaces are wet for four minutes to achieve lysol wipes contact time. Please ensure workstations remain wet for five minutes to achieve Zytec wipes contact time. 3. It was noted that hair equipment were not fully submerged in the barbicide solution.Please note that all hair tools must be fully submerged in the barbicide solution for at least 10 minutes. This was corrected during the inspection.4. PreEmpt CS20 test stirps and testing logs were not observed. Please acquire test strips and maintain testing logs.

      • Dishes were being washed at the reprocessing area. All these dishes were removed during the inspection. The operator was further advised not to wash dishes at the reprocessing area.
