      • Diapers were stored on top of a cupboard in a manner that could allow the cupboard door to knock them over, potentially becoming a falling hazard.The operator was instructed to move the diapers to an area where they can be stored securely and are not at risk of falling.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The handwash sink located in the infant room was blocked off with a food tray.The operator was asked to remove the food tray from the handwash sink. Please ensure the handwash sink is accessible to staff at all times.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The cloth covers for the foam blocks located in the Panda 2 Room were dirty and stained.Please remove and clean the cloth covers.

      • Simba room, Panda room: There are water tables with gate valves. Gate valves can trap or pinch fingers. Please remove this and ensure water table parts are safe for children to use.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Cardboard toys were used in the Simba and Panda 2 rooms. Cardboards are porous and not easily cleanable. Please ensure the toys are easily cleanable.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The hot water temperature at the hand sinks was insufficient (Panda 2: 17C, Panda 1: 19C, Simba: 24C), making it uncomfortable for handwashing.Please ensure the hand sinks are supplied with hot water at adequate temperature for proper hand washing.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • The diapering mat in the Panda 1 classroom is torn. Please replace.

      • 1. Door handle to enter the kitchen from Simba classroom is not child proof. Provide child proof device to prevent children from entering the kitchen.2. Door swings outward from kitchen towards the Simba classroom. This could potentially injure a child who could be standing behind the door. Please consider modifying the door to swing inward or provide a half door for visbility.

      • There is no soap and paper towel dispenser by the hand washing sink in the Panda 1 classroom. Please install soap and paper towel dispenser.
