Inspection summary
Four Wind's Eatery has been inspected 3 times by Interior Health Authority since September 12, 2024. The most recent inspection, on April 30, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.
1 of 3 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing and Protecting food from contamination.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on April 30, 2026. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk
This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.
Recorded once on April 30, 2026. For example:
5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk
Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.
Recorded once on March 20, 2025. For example:
2 Is the premises construction and layout unchanged and in accordance with approved plans?
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded once on March 20, 2025. For example:
1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

Amazing atmosphere but most of all the food was insanely good! We loved every single dish! Especially the beef dip and short rib!

Have you ever drove through Falkland and wondered what it could offer you for food? Well this place is absolutely amazing. They hosted my aunt & uncles 50th wedding anniversary there. And it was phenomenal! Food ,service & atmosphere they have it all! They started us all off with a small bowl of tomato basil soup. The best I’ve ever had. My husband had the prime rib. I had chicken and ribs. Which there was 2 breasts, ribs , asparagus, mashed potatoes and half of a golden beet. Then to top it off there was desert! Thank you for the amazing experience and we will be back again !

We came for prime rib night (Saturday night) and do they know how to WOW you. They had a “standard” 3 course meal and there’s nothing standard about it. The choices are insanely good, the presentation of the food is incredible and the food itself is to die for. And the portions are massive. We all left with multiple to go boxes to enjoy this meal once again at home. ❤️🥳 Cas is absolutely the hostess with the mostest. Chef Shane performs his magic in the kitchen and magic he creates. Reservations are highly recommended. Saw multiple people being turned away. Come with an empty tummy and leave intensely satisfied. A dinner you will long after still dream and talk about. Ps. The other days you order off the menu for both lunch and dinner.

We came here with a very spontaneous plan and had a great experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and kind. We had burgers — easily the best burger I’ve ever had. They also serve Underground Kombucha, which was a nice bonus. We finished with an amazing dessert. A truly unique place, with art pieces available for purchase inside. Highly recommended!

I was incredibly surprised and impressed by an excellent restaurant disguised as an eatery. It has a very home style and spiritual atmosphere. It has the perfect sized menu and the chef knows how to get every flavor out of the dishes he designs. They use their own micro greens which you can see growing in front of the window. I would recommend this establishment for anyone in the Okanagan.
