- Observation: [This is the repeated violation. Repeated violation can cause enforcement action] 1. Boxes of vegetable at the back storage area are stored directly on the ground. Bags of grain are also stored directly on the ground at the front store area. 2. Scoops are noted to be placed directly inside the bags of grain.
- Corrective Action(s): 1. Do NOT store any food items directly on the ground. Food must be stored at least 6 inches above the ground in order to prevent from contamination. Manager agree to move all the food items 6 inches above the ground. 2. Put the scoops in the clean food container, and change the scoops and containers frequently to prevent the grains from contamintation. Date to be corrected: Immediately

- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hand washing stations at back preparation area is not supplied with paper towel or any other single-use drying method. Staff placed paper towel at the designated hand washing stations during inspection.
- Corrective Action(s): Maintain all designated hand washing stations with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel to ensure staff are washing their hands at adequate frequency.

- 1. Four cans observed severely dented in the dry storage area (3X saag and 1X chickpeas). Cans were removed off the sales shelf by staff during inspection.
- 2. Five bags of flour observed slightly open and stored directly on the floor in the produce section. Staff stated these items are for to be returned to the supplier.
- 3. About 10 milk cartons in the walk-in cooler observed stored directly on the floor. Staff placed them on the shelf during inspection.
- 4. Two egg cartons observed stored directly on top of boxes of oranges in walk-in cooler. Staff stated that the eggs are for refund and placed the eggs on a seperate shelf during inspection
- Corrective Action(s): Store all food at least 6 inches off the floor and covered at all times to prevent potential contamination of food.
- Do not store faulty packaged food items near items which are intended for sale, to prevent mixing items which should not be sold. Designate a space on site for returning items back to the supplier, in both the cooler and on the sales floor. Ensure all food packaging is inspected upon receiving and prior to stocking, to avoid stocking faulty packaged items which may be potentially contaminated.

- Observation: At the time of inspection (2:45PM), temperature of the walk in cooler was recorded between 41F to 44F in different areas within the cooler. Internal temperature of food ranged between 41F to 43F and display gauge reading was 43F.
- - Staff stated that they received and stored delivery in walk-in cooler right before inspection and had the door open for some time which could have increased the temperature of cooler.As per staff, the cooler temperature is generally around 35F in the morning but fluctuates throughout the day. However, no temperature logs were available for verification.
- Corrective Action(s): - Maintain temperature log for walk-in cooler and record temperature at least twice to monitor for any fluctuations.

- Walk-in cooler door seal is partially worn out and the sliding door does not close properly, leaving gap on both sides of the door. The ambient temperature of cooler recorded at 43F and the internal temperature of milk recorded at 43F. Operator changed the temperature setting during inspection and final recording was 40F.
- Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the seal of the slidinig door is repaired/replaced to achieve adequate cold air circulation within the walk-in cooler and to maintain an ambient temperature of at least 4C/40F or less.

- Corrective Action(s): Labelled sanitizer spray bottle supplied at time of inspection, but contained >> 200 ppm quaternary ammonium compound (quats). Quats spray bottle was diluted (only one small capful required for litre of water) and tested at 200 ppm. Sanitizer spray bottle is mandatory for proper cleaning and sanitizing of the cutting board table.
