      • There was no thermometer in the black fridge/freezer. Please place thermometer inside fridge so that temperature can be monitored.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Paper towel was available at hand sink but was not in/on dispenser. Please obtain dispenser for paper towel.

      • There was no sanitizer available at time of inspection. Ensure a food safe sanitizer such as 100ppm chlorine is available.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • There was no paper towel available in washroom or at hand sink in food prep area. Ensure paper towel is available at all hand sinks. Remove reusable towel.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Some shelves in walk in cooler were made of unfinished wood. Paint shelves so they are impervious to moisture and easy to clean.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • There was an accumulation of dirt on floor of walk in cooler. Clean floor of walk in cooler.

      • A fabric chair was being used in food preparation area. Remove chair. Fabric cannot be properly washed and sanitized and is not permitted in food preparation area.

    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • Bottles of chemicals were not labelled. Please ensure all bottles are labelled so their contents are known.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Prep cooler measured approximately 8 degrees Celsius and had not been used yet that day. Adjust temperature so that cooler is maintaining 4 degrees Celsius or lower.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • There was an infestation of drain flies noted around the two compartment sink. Ensure area is free of pests.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Wall surrounding two compartment sink is becoming worn and no longer easily cleanable. Re-paint or repair to ensure is is smooth, water-resistant and easy to clean.
