- The operator did not prepare the Barbicide according to the manufacturer's instructions (dilution and frequency of preparation). The operator was informed to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for proper preparation moving forward.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Non-critical items, including brushes, combs, and scissors were soaked in Barbicide; however, the disinfectant solution had not been prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
- Sharps were not adequately stored in a puncture-resistant biohazard container with a tight-fitting lid, as required for safe disposal. Instead, used sharps were found exposed in drawer units increasing the risk of cross-contamination and potential injury.
