      • Observation(s): - The hot water temperature measures at 57°C at the washroom sinks used by the children in care. To reduce the risk of potential burns, the hot water temperature that is accessible to the children must not exceed 49°C. It should be noted that this contravention is also identified on previous routine inspection reports. *This contravention was immediately corrected. The hot water taps are turned off at the sinks used by the children until the temperature can be lowered to no more than 49°C. Running water is still accessible to the children for washing hands. A written plan, that outlines how compliance with Section 47 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) will be sustained, must be submitted by October 2, 2026.*

      • Observation(s): Today it was observed that there were 13 children present that included children in grade 1 with 1 Responsible Adult supervising. The staff ratio for this group is 1 staff for every 12 or less children. The manager had briefly left the program and returned while the Licensing officer was still present. Appropriate staffing ratios as per Schedule E must be in place at all times. This was corrected during the inspection.
      • Ensure the ratio of employees to children is no less than permitted in Schedule E; 34( 2 )(b)
