    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Written procedures were completed during the inspection.Written procedures for cleansing skin were completed for the following services: -manicure -pedicure -waxingWritten procedure for accidental skin cuts or punctures was provided to the operator at the time of inspection.Reprocessing sink not used for handwashing therefore written procedures for sink decontamination was not required.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Expired hand sanitizer was removed from the client service area at the time of inspection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The large cheese-grater style metal foot files were removed from the client service area because a suitably sized high-level disinfectant tray was not available.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing sink was being used for incompatible undertakings. Bits of food debris was found in the sink strainer. Re-iterated the requirement to only use the reprocessing sink to clean equipment prior to disinfection.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • Fire exits were unblocked at the time of inspection.
