    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • ** Baby room - the surface under the microwave had visible wood exposed. Surfaces are required to be smooth and cleanable.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • ** Preschool 2 - first aid kit was not fully stocked. Please ensure all first aid kits are adequately stocked and at least one CSA #2 kit is available for the centre.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • ** Toddler room - the carpet was fraying in the toddler room and could be a tripping hazard.** Toddler room - bathroom fan cover requires cleaning.** OSC - the side edges of the TY shelf had exposed wood which is difficult to clean and could cause slivers. Please ensure that these edges are sealed or painted.

      • Two shelving units in the OSC were observed to be over 4 feet in height with the potential to tip over as they were not secured to the wall. Please secure.> outstanding March 24 2026

      • ** Change pads in the baby and toddler rooms were not secure to the surface of the table. Please ensure change pads are secure.

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) The change pad in the toddler room was torn and missing a strap. Replacement required.2) The shelf in the staff washroom was water damaged, and the finish was wearing. Please repair or replace.3) A screw was exposed on the shelf in the preschool 1 room. Please repair.4) The shoe rack in the OSC was broken. Repair required.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • There were thumbtacks being used to hold up sheets on bulletin boards in both the infant and toddler room. Ensure thumbtacks and pushpins are not used in baby and toddler rooms.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • The paint and finishes on several walls in various rooms of the facility had been damaged and was needing repair. Ensure that all walls are kept clean and in good repair.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler Room: A small sofa in the toddler room was in disrepair with the covering having several rips in it and consequently could no longer be properly cleaned. The operator removed this sofa in the toddler room and replaced it with one in good repair and easy to clean.

      • Bottles of expired Purexall disinfectant were present in various rooms in the facility. Ensure that premixed disinfectants are discarded upon expiry to ensure surfaces and toys are being effectively disinfected.

      • The ventilation fan cover in the toddler/preschool washroom had a large buildup of dust on it and required cleaning. Ensure surfaces are cleaned regularly to prevent dust and debris buildup.
