    • R6.2 - Have all persons admitted to the facility complied with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis control programs?
      • Observation(s): In review of records, Licensing Officer could not locate evidence that persons in care have a record of TB testing/screening on file. Ensuring records are kept of persons in cares' TB screening/testing status, as outlined the Province's TB control program, works towards promoting the health and safety of persons in care. Submit by May 22, 2026, a written plan outlining how you will ensure all persons in care have evidence of compliance with the Province's TB control program on file. The plan must include the system you will implement to support ongoing monitoring to ensure sustained compliance.

    • R3.1 - Do the manager and employees meet the employment requirements and are they assessed regularly for performance?
      • Observation(s): In review of facility records, licensing officer noted that monthly drills were not consistently occurring. There were a few drills missed in 2023 and, in 2024, the last drill completed was in May.
      • R3.1Z - Employees must be trained in the implementation of emergency plans and the use of any equipment noted in the plan; 51 ( 3 )
    • R4.1 - Are person in care records current, complete and kept confidential?
      • Observation(s): The system in place to ensure that persons in care are weighed monthly appeared to be ineffective. In a random review of records, licensing officer noted that two residents did not have a weight on file since April of 2024.
      • R4.1U - Weigh each person in care monthly and record their weight in their nutritional plan (Does not apply to Hospice); 83( 4 )(a)(c)
    • R4.6 - Are facility records current and complete?
      • Observation(s): The system in place to ensure that the licensee is monitoring nutritional care appeared to be ineffective. Licensing officer noted that some persons in care had last had a nutritional assessment completed in 2022 and two persons in care did not have one on file.

    • R7.1 - Are the physical facility, equipment and furnishings maintained, sanitary, accessible and appropriate for persons in care?
      • Observation(s): The system for ensuring that all hazardous items are securely stored appeared to be ineffective. Licensing observed sharps and cleaner to be accessible to persons in care.
      • R7.1AK- Provide appropriately furnished and equipped areas for secure, safe and adequate storage of cleaning agents, chemical products and other hazardous materials; 35( 1 )(c)
