What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on January 8, 2019. For example: 5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?

I visited this store as I was leaving out of town and I would like to say that the manager on duty, I believe his name is Sham was very professional and had great customer service skills. You can tell he takes pride in his job his ability to upsell products and strike up a pleasant conversation is nice to experience now a days. This store was also well kept Bathrooms are extremely clean and locked to prevent transient usage. Store is well organized and tidy. Outside lot was free from garbage and tidy I will be making this my regular station to get my gas and snacks Keep up the great work Sham!

I always have a great experience at this gas station. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to get in and out of. The manager is especially friendly and welcoming—always willing to help and creates a positive atmosphere. It’s one of the few places I actually enjoy stopping at. Highly recommend!
