- Ammonia based cleaning chemicals without DIN certification were observed being stored with the pool's chlorine chemicals. All chemicals being used in a commercial facility must be certified with a DIN or equivalent federal inspection identification. Ammonia based chemicals must not be stored or used alongside chlorine-based chemicals. When ammonia and chlorine react, they create chloramine gas that can be deadly.

- The plastic cover around the base of the pool access ladder was broken with sharp, jagged edges exposed. Patrons could easily come into contact with broken material. All material around the pool needs to be in good repair to prevent injury. The pool deck was observed to have multiple low spots in which water was unable to drain naturally. Water pooled in these areas were observed to have biofilm build up in them, indicating that the water had been standing for a considerable amount of time. Biofilm can contain harmful bacteria that can affect patrons that come into contact with it as well as increasing the risk of fall hazard. Any areas on the pool deck in which water is not able to freely or naturally drain need to be monitored constantly
