      • 1. Dirty cleaning rag was observed on the counter and not in the sanitizing solution when not in use. Please store cleaning rags in sanitizer solution when not in use.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • 1. The inside of the blender was observed to be filthy. Please clean it thoroughly.2. Plates and cutlery for the children were stored in an unsanitary manner. Please store clean dishes inside cabinets or in a covered container to prevent contamination.

      • 1. Dirty cleaning rags were observed inside the two‑compartment sink. Please store dirty rags separately in a laundry bin and/or in a sanitizer solution and use the laundry machine to clean them.
    • 06. Are appropriate food handling practices and plans in place to ensure that food is handled in a manner that makes it safe to eat?
      • Temperature logs for reheating, dishwashing, and classroom refrigerators were not available. The temperature log for the kitchen refrigerator was incomplete. Please ensure refrigerator temperatures are monitored and recorded consistently. Dishwashing temperature logs are also not being maintained. The dishwasher must be tested daily, and the sanitizing temperature must be recorded to verify proper sanitization.When food is reheated, the food temperature must be taken and recorded.

      • 1. Staff did not clean/sanitize the cart after bringing the dirty dishes to the kitchena nd placing clean dishes. Staff was reminded to clean the cart. Violation corrected onsite.

      • 1. Food items were observed stored on the floor. Please ensure all food items are stored off the floor to prevent from contamination.2. The dry storage cart was cluttered. Please store food in a sanitary manner.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • The cleaning cart was stored in the kitchen. Please remove it and ensure the cleaning cart is stored in a designated area outside of the kitchen.
    • 18. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Some non-food related storage and teacher's belongings were observed on one side of the kitchen. The original floor plan submitted and approved by AHS required a separate area for staff belonging and not having to cross path in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination. Either have a physical barrier to separate these areas or remove the non- food related storage outside of kitchen.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • 1. The inside of the dishwasher, and blender was observed to be filthy. Please clean it thoroughly.2. Plates and cutlery for the children were stored in an unsanitary manner. Please store clean dishes inside cabinets or in a covered container to prevent contamination.

      • Concentration of chlorine sanitizer was too potent, testing at 800 ppm. Correct concentration of chlorine sanitizer should be measured at 100 ppm. Excessively high concentrations of chlorine sanitizer can be harmful when ingested and irritate the skin.The operator was instructed on how to properly mix and accurately test chlorine sanitizer solution. Operator was informed to test the chlorine sanitizer mixture every time it is made. Operator remade their solution to the correct concentration of 100 ppm.
