    I live very close by and used To love coming here, But things have changed in the last couple years. Golf is a sport Where you enjoy the outdoors And the greenery, And Hillview has turned it into a business, With harsh laws And unreasonable enforcement. Seems like the new owners are not connected with the community and don’t like to Communicate And reason with The players. The workers need to be trained To respect their customers When approaching Them on the field and advising them to do something or interacting with them. People come here to Unwind And enjoy the sport. And This atmosphere is where they need to do their job well.

    I live close by and used to love playing golf here. Nice course and great vibes. Most recently thing have been going downhill though. Staff is very unfriendly and constantly complaining and taking away a free environment. Then I receive a email that I am banned from the golf course. Apparently I took too long on the green when it took me 2 minutes and I am confused. I call them and try to reason with the management but nothing. I will not go back here and support this business

    Updated Review (April 2026): I returned to my 174th eatery. I ate a chicken burger, crispy fries, and drank a fountain soda for $30 after tax and tip. It is positioned between East Hill and Middleton. No options nearby on foot so it's a great place to hang out and eat. Hours change frequently so make sure to check it's open if you plan on coming here late afternoon. Same quality of service as always. Original Review: This is Vernon Eatery Number 174 on my quest to eat at every eatery in town. It was my first time visiting Hillview golf course. I paid $24.70 after tax and tip for a spicy black bean burger, deliciously crispy fries, and a root beer fountain soda. The bathroom is rather small. The tables were clean. The woman working behind the counter was super friendly and helpful.

    We love this local gem . You can play nine or 18 holes. Lots of little challenges. Easily walkable. We have noticed each year the upgrades that the owners are putting into this course. Much improved greens, Landscaping and just overall maintenance. Well done to the staff and team! Be sure to have a snack breakfast or lunch at their wonderful bistro post game. Fabulous outdoor seating options. Great menu items and price points.
