- 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
- FCL 0.5 ppm, TCL 0.5ppm, and pH 7.42The controller and probes appear to be malfunctioning. The display showed an ORP of 999mV despite a manual pool reading of only 0.5 ppm FCL. The pH reading was missing from the display entirely.
- 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
- Skimmer baskets were clean and equipped with float weirs. However, the water level was low (barely reaching the skimmer opening), resulting in inadequate skimming. Adjust pool water levels to allow for adequate skimming.

- The controller and probes appear to be malfunctioning. The display showed an ORP of 999mV despite a manual pool reading of only 0.5 ppm FCL. The pH reading was missing from the display entirely. Repair or replace the automated chemical controller and probes.
- 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
- Pool Turnover calculated at 4.7 hours (15,521 gal / 55gpm / 60). Ensure recirculation rate of the swimming pool is maintained at 4 hours or lower.
- 15. Has an owner or owner's agent, if any, been identified and is the pool operated and maintained by a qualified pool operator?
- The facility currently lacks a trained pool operator.A pool operator must be provided for the facility that is able to maintain the pool on day-to-day basis and meet the qualifications of having successfully completed a recognized pool operator education course. The pool operator must:- Provide proof of successful completion of the course.- Demonstrate to the Executive Officer the ability to perform daily operations, including correct water sample collection, accurate manual pool chemistry testing and record keeping.

- HPC present in a sample collected on February 2.
- 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
- - The water level in the pool was very low. Insufficient water was entering the skimmers, resulting in inadequate skimming of the pool water.Ensure that the water level in the pool is maintained at least halfway up the skimmer opening to allow for adequate surface skimming.**There was an active leak on the sand filter. Water was observed leaking from the top of the filter, explaining the water noted on the floor of the mechanical room. Repair the leak.
- 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
- Investigation revealed that: The controller was not feeding chlorine into the pool; the chemical levels in the storage container remain unchanged since the February 6th visit. The ORP and pH readings on the controller were outside the ECOLAB calibration charts. The manager confirmed the use of granular chlorine to manually adjust pool chemistry, which is inconsistent with automated system requirements.
- 15. Has an owner or owner's agent, if any, been identified and is the pool operated and maintained by a qualified pool operator?
- The facility currently lacks a trained pool operator. Take immediate action to ensure the current operator enrolls in a certified pool operator training course. Please email proof of registration before the end of February 2026.

- The free chlorine levels in the pool were too high for the test kits to read, same with that of the operator.Even with the high chlorine in the pool, the chlorine pump was running and kept feeding more chlorine in the pool. ** Higher than the required chlorine levels in the pool has no added health benefits and may cause skin and eye irritation. Please rectify the issue with the chlorine pump before opening the pool to the public.

- **Flappers/floating weirs were missing from both skimmers.**A basket was missing in one of the skimmers.- The flow rate had been increased to 70gpm, bringing the turnover to 3.7 hours (compliant) and filtration rate to 14.3gpm/sq.ft (compliant).ACTION REQUIRED:1) Install flappers or floater weirs in the skimmers to maximize surface recirculation/skimming of the pool water.2) Replace the missing skimmer basket
- 15. Has an owner or owner's agent, if any, been identified and is the pool operated and maintained by a qualified pool operator?
- The operator's certificate had expired and there were some gaps in the operator's knowledge on basic pool test. The operator was asked to perform a pool chemistry test, and he performed the test without blanking the instrument. When asked why he did not blank the instrument and he said " that is how i have always done it and i was not aware that i supposed to blank the instrument"ACTION REQUIRED>1) Have the pool operator take a refresher of the pool operator course as soon as possible.
- 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
- **The operator keeps a daily records of pool chemistry test results, but the results are inaccurate because the test were not done correctly. The operator was not blanking the testing instrument prior to performing the test.**The test instrument itself appeared to have malfunctioned. When the operator tried to blank the machine, it kept showing error messagesACTION REQUIRED:1) Ensure that the testing machine is in good working order. if not, please repair or replace it.2) Ensure that operator is following proper procedure in performing pool chemistry test. Ensure that the manufacturer's instruction for use is available to the pool operator.
