  6. Monitoring Inspection

    3 infractions

    • 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Automated system failed to maintain a stable pH which was recorded at 8.0. Proper pH control is critical for disinfection efficiency and bather safety.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Hot tub temperature recorded above 40 degrees celsius (43 degrees). Adjust temperature regulator to 40degrees celsius or below to prevent bather dehydration, dizziness and overheating among other health effects.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Water quality parameters such as pH and Free Chlorine are being consistently recorded; however, the results frequently indicate elevated levels. Put in place mechanism to address parameters that do not meet regulatory standards

    • 03. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Water sample (25ES-261E00221) collected on September 18th, 2025, was rejected by the lab as the identification sticker was not on the sample bottle. Please submit a new water sample for the whirlpool as soon as possible.

  10. Monitoring Inspection

    2 infractions

    • 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • The initial chemical water test indicated the pH of the whirlpool was exceeding 8.4. The pH must be kept between 6.8 and 7.6 with a recommended pH of 7.2).A high pH (more basic) renders the chlorine unable to disinfect properly. The pool operator was able to correct the out-of-range pH and it was re-tested to be 7.54. Please take frequent readings to ensure the pH is staying within the legislated range and that the automatic controller is operating properly.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Water chemical tests are being completed and recorded; however, if a parameter is out of range corrective action is not being taken/ recorded. On the day of the inspection the operators' records indicated the pH was exceeding 7.6 and the Free Chlorine was "High"; however, no action was taken. Taking the water chemical tests are to ensure the parameters are being met and allow for corrective action if they are not. Corrective action must be taken and the steps taken must be recorded.
