    The Gem Theatre is now opened and the citizens of Grand Forks are thrilled. A benefit concert was held last night with over $5000 raised, 8 bands and 2000+ in attendance. What community spirit and pride. Support the Gem Theatre.

    Fantastic theater to watch the Fantastic 4! A beautiful piece of history with a yummy bucket of popcorn! A great day to spend my birthday with my hunny! Lots of nostalgia, great pricing, the staff was super friendly and accommodating! We were told about a flood in 2018 and all the seating had to be replaced. The seats were very comfortable as was the cool temperature to beat the crazy heat outside. We are from out of town, but we will be back!

    I am overdue to share some love for the Historic Gem Theatre in beautiful downtown Grand Forks, BC that is! Against all odds, the proprietors paddle hard to provide a great movie-going experience with close to first run movies opening up regularly. Tasty popcorn, candy and cold drinks are readily available at reasonable prices to go along with your $10 movie ticket. I have also attended a number of live music events and a few private events at the Gem and am very impressed with the different performances on offer there. I can highly recommend the Gem Theatre to anyone looking for some fun when they are in Grand Forks.

    For a small theatre, it does an excellent job. I was worried I wouldn't be able to see "It 2" locally but they had a showing for 2 days. The theatre was packed, so I'm glad I'm not the only one that enjoyed it. My only real complaint is that it's getting colder and I would definitely appreciate being allowed inside to warm myself up before the movie starts. I know it's a small area, but it would definitely be appreciated.
