    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Long, tangling wires observed in toddler and preschool classrooms.-Please keep all long wires away from children reach to prevent entanglement hazards.2. Staple pins were noted on classrooms' walls.-Please cover staple pins with adhesive tapes to prevent children's access to hazardous material or use protective materials to attach items to walls.Email with photos of corrected infractions was received.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Children’s hands not washed immediately after washroom use1. In the toddler room, a child did not wash his hands immediately after using the washroom. The child was allowed to wander and touch classroom surfaces and toys while the educator was tidying the washroom.-Please ensure that children’s hands are washed immediately after washroom use.2. In the preschool room, a child was observed leaving the washroom area without washing their hands after washroom use.-Please ensure that staff provide appropriate supervision to ensure children wash their hands after using the washroom.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Some children's water bottles were observed without name labels in the preschool room.-Please label all children water bottles with their names to prevent mix-up.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Diapering surface with peeling vanishes and exposed raw wood was observed in toddler room.-Please repair the diapering surface to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of the diapering surface.2. Peeling toilet seats were observed in both toddler and preschool's washrooms.-Please repair or replace the indicated toilet seats to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Cane rattan toy backet which could be difficult to properly clean and sanitize, was observed in preschool room.-Please replace such toy containers with smooth, nonabsorbent and easy-to-clean containers.

      • Inadequate concentration of bleach sanitizer was observed in the facility's classrooms.-Please ensure adequate concentration of bleach sanitizer is maintained at 100-200ppm to assure proper cleaning and sanitizing of facility's surfaces.This concern was corrected during the inspection.

      • 1.       • 1. The sensory bottles were taped with multiple layers of clear tape making them harder to clean/disinfect properly. -Please ensure that the bottles are visibly clean. Advised to use hot glue and just to use one layer of tape.2. Cane rattan toy backet which could be difficult to properly clean and sanitize, was observed in preschool room.-Please replace such toy containers with smooth, nonabsorbent and easy-to-clean containers.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Hot water temperature was measured at 32 and 34 degrees Celsius in both toddler and preschool washrooms respectively.-Please adjust and maintained hot water temperature between 38-43 degrees Celsius to ensure proper handwashing process.
