    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The operators are using alcohol to disinfect the attachment pieces for the microdermabrasion. Non-critical items such as the different attachment pieces for the microdermabrasion equipment must be disinfected with at least a low-level disinfectant with a DIN. Please use a low or intermediate-level disinfectant and refrain from using alcohol as it is not considered a disinfectant.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • Sharps container is overfilled passed the fill line. The sharps container must not be used past the fill line to ensure proper disposable and to prevent mishandling of sharps containing biohazards such as blood which can lead to transmission of diseases. Carefully dispose the sharps container and obtain new ones. Regularly monitor the sharps container and refrain from filling past the fill line.

      • Bacteriostatic preservative is used to reconstitute the neuromodulators. Neuromodulators must be reconstituted with a preservative free saline as indicated on the manufacturer's instructions for use.
