      • Toe separators and foot pumice scrubbers were being reused.Discarded all used toe separators and foot pumice scrubbers. Discard single use items after one time use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Manicures and pedicures tools are not cleaned before placing in the PREempt CS20 solution. Debris build-up on the bottom of the CS20 solution. PREempt CS20 solution bottle is emptied. PREempt CS20 solution was being used for multiple days, no test strips available. Follow the manufacturer's instructions:1-CLEAN/RINSE/DRY Clean tools using water and detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 2-FILL SOAKER Pour PREempt™ CS20 directly into soaking tray. Do not dilute. 3-SOAK TOOLS & RE-USE SOLUTION Fully immerse tools in PREempt™ CS20 for 20 minutes. Re-use solution for up to 14 days.**The solution must be discarded after 14 days or sooner as dictated by AHP7 Test Strips. Read label for full list of claims and use-directions.4-RINSE, DRY & STORE Rinse tools with water and dry manually using clean cloth or disposable towel. Store in a clean container marked “DISINFECTED”2) Manicures and pedicures tools are not completely immersed in the PREempt CS20 solution.Tools need to be fully immersed.3) PREempt RTU bottle was emptied. No Low-level disinfectant was not available to disinfect the foot tub and other surfaces.Provide low-level disinfectant.
