- The bleach sanitizer concentration was initially measured at 50 ppm in baby room. The operator was advised to ensure that an adequate concentration of disinfectant is maintained at the facility. The operator then prepared a fresh sanitizer solution, which was subsequently measured at 100 ppm.

- 2026-05-04: Repeat violation from last year. All rooms were observed with visible dirt, debris, and sand (sensory play) accumulated in drawers, under rugs, and on counters. Operator was instructed to clean and maintain all affected areas to ensure the facility remains clean and orderly. - 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
- Illness logs showed that two children had been absent from the daycare within 48 hours of inspection, both with loose watery stools. This had not been reported to EPH. Operator was directed to report these cases and did so under the observation of Inspector. Illness logs also showed no staff illnesses dating back over 6 months. When questioned, Director admitted that a staff member was out sick that same day with a sore throat. This was added to illness log upon request of the PHI. - All / any cases of illness identified in children and staff at each facility must be logged and managed (e.g. isolated or excluded) by staff at the facility, in a manner consistent with the AHS Outbreak Guidelines that pertain to the facility.- Clusters of illness identified (indicating a possible outbreak) at any facility must be reported to AHS and managed in a manner consistent with AHS guidelines that pertain to the facility.

- A child in the infant room had their temperature taken during inspection and was found to be 37.7C. The child was not initially removed from the classroom while awaiting a parent to pick them up. Child was moved to the designated sick space (Director's Office) at the request of the PHI.

- The facility had a hot water heater, which serves the laundry room, one toddler room and one infant room, which was non-operational at time of inspection. Work had been completed on the hot water heater a week prior. A call was made to a plumber while PHI was onsite.
