      • Weatherstripping along some exterior doors has become damaged and light is visible when door is fully shut. Please confirm on all exterior doors, and along all edges, and replace where necessary.

    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The changing station in the toddler room is mounted to the wall; first through a piece of plywood and then into the wall. The upper right screw has come loose and the unit is no longer secure. The unit must be installed as per manufacturer's instructions.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • A facepainting kit that did not confirm with non toxic requirements was disposed of.
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • Laundry bins were not clearly labelled clean/dirty, nor did they have plastic liners.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Toddler room: 2 bleach solutions were tested and were found to both contain 0 ppm chlorine. One had bubbles (do not mix soap and chlorine) and the other smelled of pinesol. Ensure all chemicals are properly labelled, and ensure bleach solutions are made and tested frequently. An expired disinfected, which tested 0 pppm quat, was removed. Instructions to use a 1000 ppm chlorine solution for disinfecting were provided. Staff bathroom: an expired bottle of quat disinfectant was removed. A bottle of pinesol which was labelled soap and water was removed. Ensure all chemicals are labelled properly and are not expired.
