      • Handrail height towards basement was measured between 38 inches to 44 inches. Handrail height leading to the basement from the play yard was measured at 32 inches. **Handrail height for any stairway used by younger children should be between 22 to 28 inches.

      • 1. Corrugated board was observed on the wall with the shelving and hooks in the proposed infant room. **Remove as this material as it is not easily cleanable. 2. Duct tape observed on the carpet in the basement play area. **Remove duct tape as it is not easily cleanable.3. The drapes in the proposed infant room was observed to be too long. **Shorten drapes so that it is not accessible to children.

      • The maximum hot water temperature was measured at approximately 60 degrees Celsius for all hand washing station at the facility. **Ensure the maximum hot water temperature does not exceed 54 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that the maximum hot water temperature be 49 degrees Celsius. Mixing valves at particular sinks can be installed to achieve this.***OUTSTANDING. TEMPERATURE WAS MEASURED TO BE 55.3 DEGREES CELSIUS.

A pillow was observed to be stored in the main floor bathroom shower. Signs for play equipment storage was observed. A plastic tower bin full of extra clothes were observed to be stored in the bathroom. **Ensure pillow, toys and extra clothing are not stored in the bathroom as there is potential for fecal contamination.
