      • -There was no hot water in the OSC. Please ensure both hot and cold water is available.November 20, 2025 - Hot water was available but it was too hot. It was measured at 54C. Please ensure hot water temperature at sinks accessible to children does not exceed 49C.

      • -There was no hot water in the OSC. Please ensure both hot and cold water is available.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • -Several sleeping mats were worn out and had holes in them. Please repair/replace damaged mats.October 31, 2025 -Mats were temporarily repaired with tape until new ones can be ordered

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • -Foam shapes in the Toddler and Pre-school Room had bite marks and missing pieces. This is a potential choking hazard and makes the shapes difficult to clean. Please remove all damaged foam shapes. These shapes are not recommended in Baby and Toddler Rooms.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -Bibs were being stored directly above the diaper sink in the Toddler Room. Please ensure that the diapering space is used for diapering only and not used to store anything else. The bibs were removed at the time of inspection.

      • - There was a diapering mat stored on the floor of the washroom. Please store the diaper mat out of reach of children.-The diaper mat in the washroom had holes. Please repair/replace.

      • - The Chlorine test strips had expired. Please ensure new test strips are available.

      • -The sealant behind the washroom sink on the main floor and the OSC classrooms sink was cracked. Please repair/replace to make a waterproof seal.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • - There was no hand soap at the washroom sink on the main floor. It was replaced at the time of inspection. Please ensure that handwashing supplies are available at all hand sinks at all times.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • - First aid supplies were old/expired and need to be replaced. Please ensure first aid supplies are replaced to meet requirements and are maintained regularly. There are new requirements for first aid supplies. Please refer to Appendix H of the “Alberta Health Services Childcare Guidelines.” The list of supplies should be printed out so that regular audits can be completed.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • -There were containers of expired disinfectants in the facility. They were disposed of at the time of inspection. Please ensure expiry dates for disinfectants are checked regularly.

      • -There was no hot water in the OSC. Please ensure both hot and cold water is available.

      • -Several sleeping mats were worn out and had holes in them. Please repair/replace damaged mats.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • -Toilet paper was not being stored on holders in the OSC. Please ensure that toilet paper is stored on holders.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • -There were multiple bottles of hand sanitizer that had expired in 2022. Please remove/replace.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • -The fridge in the Pre-school Room was measured at 7C, which is too warm. Please ensure the fridge is maintained at 4C or less

      • -The facility was washing dishes but did not have a food handling permit. Please remove all re-useable dishes from the facility and cease washing dishes.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • - In the infant room, the flooring tile near the handwash sink is still in disrepair. The tile is cracked and depressed into the subfloor. Please ensure the tile is repaired to facilitate proper cleaning and disinfection of the flooring surface and to promote a clean and sanitary environment.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • - The handwash sink in the infant room has a faucet handle that needs to be repaired. The handle is loose and can be taken off when using the sink. Please ensure the handwash sink faucet handle is repaired to ensure access to handwashing within the infant room.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - There is still no light cover in the washroom outside of the preschool room. Please ensure a light cover is installed to minimize the risk of a physical hazards (e.g., broken glass).
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • - The ventilation system in the main washroom of the OSC room is still not in good working order. Please ensure the ventilation system is repaired to ensure the removal excess moisture, humidity, odors and other pollutants.

      • - Please ensure chemicals such as bleach spray bottles and other chemical cleaners are restricted from child access at all times. When chemicals are not in use, please store them in an area that is restricted with a child safety lock to minimize the risk of chemical hazards and toxicity.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?

      • - Observed no light cover in the washroom outside of the preschool room. Please ensure a light cover is installed to minimize the risk of a physical hazard (e.g., broken glass).

      • - In the OSC room main washroom, the ventilation system is not working. Please ensure the ventilation system is repaired to ensure the removal excess moisture, humidity, odors and other pollutants.

      • - In the infant room, the refrigeration unit registered a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. The director was informed that a temperature of 4 degrees or less is required. No high-risk foods were present in the refrigerator at the time. It was advised that no foods be stored in the refrigerator until the temperature is in compliance or the refrigerator is replaced.

      • - In the toddler room, please remove the refrigeration unit that is not being used. The refrigeration unit is registering a temperature of 12.6 degrees Celsius. Staff indicated that this refrigeration unit that is one of two units in the room will be removed. -Ensure all refrigeration units maintain a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius or less to ensure safe food preservation.
