      • Lots of small flies were noted on the walls and ceiling in the dishwashing area. It's recommended that you consult with pest control regarding the fly problem. Ensure that the food establishment is maintained free of pests.

      • *Not observed during January 27, 2026 inspectionCeiling tiles missing in the basement area where food are stored. The operator stated there was a leak that occurred and was just repaired. Please install proper ceiling tiles.

      • Hand sink beside the hand wash station was not equipped with a paper towel dispenser. Install a paper towel dispenser.

      • 1. A visibly dirty cleaning cloth was stored on top of the prep cooler across from the cooking line. Ensure that all used cleaning cloths are stored in an approved sanitizing solution after use.2. Cooking utensils were stored in sanitizer solution that was soiled with food. Staff directed to refresh the sanitizing solution.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Cooked beef was hot held at 47C in the hot holding unit. Staff directed to reheat the beef to 74C and then to hot hold at 60C. Ensure that high risk food is held at 60C or above when hot holding.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • 1. Hand sink beside the hand wash station was not operational. Please ensure that the hand wash station is properly plumbed and is stocked with soap and single-use paper towels.2. Hand wash sink in the dishwashing area was blocked as a bucket was stored in the basin of the sink. There was not soap at the dispenser. Ensure that all hand wash stations are accessible and stocked with soap and single-use paper towels at all times.

      • New work counters were installed. The counter tops were still covered with a protective cover and were being used for food handling. Staff directed to remove the protective cover.

      • 1. Ice scoop was stored on top of the bulk ice machine in the kitchen. Ice scoop was stored with handle in the bulk ice bin in the bar. Ensure that the ice scoop is stored in such a way to protect the ice from contamination (i.e. store in a clean container).\2. Cleaning is needed on top of the dishwasher as debris was noted.

    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • There were buckets inside of the hand wash basin by the dishwashing area. The hand sink must be easily accessible at all times. Refrain from placing any articles inside of the basin. The operator removed the buckets from the hand sink at the time of the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • A large gap is visible from the bottom of the door in the back. No signs of pest activity were observed during the inspection. Install weatherstripping and ensure no gap is visible between the door and the floor to prevent the entry of pests.

      • Ceiling tiles missing in the basement area where food are stored. The operator stated there was a leak that occurred and was just repaired. Please install proper ceiling tiles.

      • Gap exists under back/side door large enough to allow the entry of pests. Ensure the gap is sealed i.e. with a properly fitted sweeper.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Hot water is leaking from the faucet at the line handwashing sink. Have this repaired before it becomes a larger problem.

      • The iodine test strips in the bar were water damaged and unusable. Purchase new test strips. Ensure that test strips are available for each type of sanitizer used onsite.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • 1. Hand wash sink next to the dishwasher was unusable. The waste water pipe below the sink was broken where it connects to the main plumbing stack. Repair the hand wash sink.2. The hand wash station in the dishwashing area was not equipped with soap and paper towel. No paper towel dispenser was available. Ensure that all hand wash stations are equipped with soap and single-use paper towels.

      • Inserts of tomatoes and lemons were stacked directly on top of open inserts of cheese and onions in the top of the prep cooler. There was no barrier between the inserts to prevent the contamination of food. Do not stack open food containers. Ensure that containers are covered before stacking to protect against contamination.
    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • Several spray bottles of sanitizing solution were unlabeled. Ensure that all containers of chemicals are clearly labeled to identify contents. Corrected during inspection.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • An insert of beef was stored at 49C on the grill. Ensure that high risk foods are hot held at or above 60C.
