      • Quats sanitizer in spray bottle measured greater than 400ppm. It was diluted during inspection to 200ppm. Ensure quats sanitizer measures 200ppm.
    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • Sanitizer spray bottle was not labelled. It was labelled during the inspection. Ensure all chemicals are labelled to prevent misuse.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • There was a gap visible under one side of exterior side door. Repair weatherstripping so that door closes tightly to prevent pest entry.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Pans were stored on unfinished particle board shelves. Paint, refinish or replace shelves with shelving that is smooth, non-porous and easy to clean or move pans and do not use this shelving to store food or food equipment.

      • Quats test strips were expired and appeared discoloured. Obtain new quats test strips.

      • Sanitizer from dispenser at back measured approximately 100ppm. Adjust dispenser to ensure quats sanitizer is dispensed at 200ppm.

      • A spray bottle containing sanitizer was not labeled. This was corrected during the inspection. Ensure all chemical bottles are labeled correctly.

      • Quats test strips were expired and appeared discoloured. Obtain new quats test strips.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Hand sink at back of kitchen was not draining properly and was out of order. Ensure hand sink is repaired.

      • Swing door in front was unfinished MDF board and had absorbed grease. Paint or re-finish to ensure surface is easily cleanable.
