      • 1. Some of spray bottles containing 100ppm chlorine were not labelled. Please ensure all spray bottles are labeled so their contents are known. 2. In several areas the sanitizer spray bottles were stored where children may have access. Please ensure bottles are stored out of reach of children.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Top edge of half door entering into teddy bears had been covered with duct tape. Please remove duct tape and ensure surface is smooth, easy to clean and non-absorbent.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • In Teddy Bears the hand sink had been blocked off by shelving. Please ensure this hand sink is kept accessible for handwashing.

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Soap dispenser in sailor's room had come off wall. Staff were aware and had plans in place to repair. Ensure soap dispenser is remounted.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • In baby room some diapers were stored on table directly underneath diapering table. Centre had ordered new shelf for diapers. Please ensure these diapers are stored elsewhere to prevent cross contamination.

      • Soap dispenser in sailor's room had come off wall. Staff were aware and had plans in place to repair. Ensure soap dispenser is remounted.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Hot water in north side of centre was not available at beginning of inspection. Hot water tank had been turned off over the holiday week. This was corrected during the inspection and the hot water tank was turned on.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Some electrical outlets in facility did not have plug covers. Ensure all outlets have covers.2. Cords from the wall mounted TV were dangling within reach of children. Secure these cords or place shelf so that children cannot reach cords. 3. The closet with electrical panel was not locked. Install lock on this door so it is inaccessible to children.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The wood railing along ramp and stairs in facility was not yet painted. Ensure it is painted so that it is easy to clean.2. The baseboards had gaps between them and the floor in many areas. Ensure any large gaps are caulked so that dirt cannot accumulate in this crevice and to facilitate easy cleaning. 3. The plastic paneling by mop sink was not yet secured to wall. Please secure this material to wall.

      • Hand sinks in main washroom and in accessible washroom in infant room were not stocked with soap and paper towel. Ensure all sinks are stocked with soap and paper towels.
