- *Some pedicure chairs were noted to have porous surfaces (leather was noted to be peeling in the feet rest area). Ensure all equipment is in good repair.Oct 10, 2023: The feet rest area of some pedicure chairs was still porous. Please note that all equipment in the facility must be in good repair, smooth and easy to clean. This is an ongoing violation and must be corrected immediately. Oct 17, 2023: The operator indicated that a single use plastic liner is always placed over the feet rest for each client. Please ensure a more permanent solution is put in place to ensure the surfaces are smooth and easy to clean.

- The required written procedure for decontamination of sink used for both handwashing and equipment reprocessing was not available. The sink used for tools reprocessing at the facility was being used for handwashing/dishwashing. Proper decontamination procedure was not being followed.Please create a written procedure for decontamination of the sink in-between use and ensure it is posted at a visible location close to the sink. A template will be sent with this report.

- Used single-use nail files were observed inside a workstation cabinet. The staff present removed the files during inspection.Please ensure single use items are discarded immediately after use.

- Re-usable manicure and pedicure tools were not being completely immersed in a high-level disinfectant solution (Preempt CS20).Please ensure tools are completely immersed inside a disinfectant solution during disinfection and the required contact time maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
