- Inadequate reprocessing steps for semi-critical tools and use of high-level disinfectant (HLD) observed. Semi-critical tools were not dried prior to immersion in HLD and also were not rinsed after immersion in the high-level disinfectant PREempt CS20.Inspector educated operators on the importance of rinsing off disinfectant from tools before air drying and provided proper steps for reprocessing semi-critical tools.Post step-by-step instructions for reprocessing reusable semi-critical tools, including the proper use of high-level disinfectant visibly beside the reprocessing sink, for personal service worker to follow. Ensure all manufacturer's directions for use of the disinfectants are followed.
