      • Observation(s): - Due to the installation of a new interior door that connects the two program rooms (Side A and Side B), confirmation of approval from the Municipality (i.e. building and fire) is required for this amendment.

      • Observation(s): During the review of the daily attendance log in the Preschool program, it was observed that one child had not been signed in. This issue was highlighted to the Licensee during the inspection. The child had been transferred from another program earlier in the day. Attendance records must reflect sign in and sign out times for children moving back and forth between both programs. The Licensee addressed and corrected the record while the inspection was in progress.

    • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?
      • Observation(s): - The Licensing Officer observed some expired supplies in the first aid kit. *Resolved during the inspection. During the inspection, the Licensee informed the Licensing Officer that the heating system in the Preschool program room was currently being repaired. As a result, there were portable heaters in place. The Licensing Officer observed that these portable heaters were not accessible to the children in care.

    • C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?
      • Observation(s): Based on the information and documentation gathered by Licensing during this complaint investigation, the Licensing Officer determined that the following allegation was substantiated: • Children were attending the Preschool (30 Months to School Age) and Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) programs who were younger than 30 months of age. - RESOLVED - This contravention was previously identified on the complaint inspection report dated January 12, 2024 and the follow-up inspection report dated January 26, 2024. A compliance plan was submitted by the Licensee and accepted by Licensing on February 7, 2024. This plan sufficiently addresses this recurring contravention.
      • C10.2B - Ensure that children are divided into groups with each group having no more children than permitted in Schedule E (Does not apply to Family Child Care or In-Home Multi-Age Child Care); 34( 2 )(a)( 3 )(a)
    • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?
      • Observation(s): Based on the information and documentation gathered by Licensing during this complaint investigation, the Licensing Officer determined that the following allegation was substantiated: • Some employee files were missing required documents (i.e. evidence of work experience and/or a valid criminal record check from the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). - RESOLVED - This contravention was previously identified on the complaint inspection report dated January 12, 2024. A written immediate Health and Safety plan was submitted by the Licensee and accepted by Licensing on January 26, 2024. This plan sufficiently addresses this recurring contravention.
