      • A food handler was observed coughing twice without covering their mouth while in the kitchen. The food handler reported that they were not ill and stated that the cough was due to throat irritation. Education was provided regarding the importance of practicing proper respiratory etiquette at all times to prevent food contamination. The food handler was also instructed to clean and sanitize surrounding food contact surfaces.

      • Several cardboard boxes of food items were stored directly on the floor in the front service and dining areas. All food items must be stored at least 6 inches off the floor to prevent contamination from dirt, moisture, or pests.

      • The hand sink in the main kitchen was blocked by a non-movable food preparation counter, and the hand sink in the front service area was blocked by large cartons. Staff members reported washing their hands in the two-compartment dishwashing sink. The hand sink in the front service area was cleared to ensure easy access. Handwashing must be performed in a designated hand sink, and hand sinks must be easily accessible to all workers at all times.
