- 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- The chlorine test strips are oxidized. Attempted to test the bleach sanitizer solution and the reading was inaccurate. Obtain new chlorine test strips and ensure the sanitizer solution is regularly tested.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- A pest control monitoring program is not in place. Observed on glue trap and one bait station at the front of house area. There is rice on plates and the operator stated the rice is laced with a bait. Please implement a pest monitoring program. This can either be done by hiring a professional company to conduct monthly monitoring or the facility operator can do it themselves by placing traps throughout the facility and completing a monthly pest checklist. A pest control checklist was provided to the operator.
