    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips were expired. These were replaced by the operator during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • 1. Fruit flies were observed in the back storage area by the pop syrups. 2. Fly strip observed, was old. DO THE FOLLOWING:1. Ensure that the spill in the back is cleaned up to stop attracting flies 2. Replace the fly strip with a new one
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • **Outstanding violation March 2025. 1. Observed a gap at the bottom of the back kitchen door and light visible. COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:1. Repair/replace the weatherstrip to prevent entry of insects and pests into the facility.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • 1. There was an accumulation of burnt debris and food debris in the space between the grill and on top of the cooler. 2. Walk-in cooler and freezer had debris built up under the shelves. 3. Inside of the prep-coolers had food debris and spills. 4. Mini chest freezer, with the ice cream, had built up. COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:1. Please ensure the above-mentioned areas are cleaned more thoroughly and more often.
