- Written procedures were completed during the inspection.Reprocessing sink is used for hand hygiene therefore written procedures for sink decontamination were completed.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- 1. A high-level disinfectant is required for disinfection of semi-critical equipment (i.e. eyelash extension tweezers). Purchase a high-level disinfectant (HLD). 2. Purchase proper HLD indicator test strips. Most high-level disinfectants have a 14 to 30-day reuse period but you must also retain proper indicator test strips and keep High Level Disinfectant (HLD) logs. HLD log templates were provided at the time of inspection.3.Obtain a small, inexpensive clear plastic/glass tray with a lid to soak the eyelash extension tweezers in the high-level disinfectant. You must be able to visually confirm tools are being fully immersed.
