- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- No - there were no regular pest control service records being kept on site at the food premises. The operator is to ensure there is a regular monthly pest control service, with records available on site for review (note: the monthly service can be by a certified pest control company or by staff using the AHS monthly checklist, if any identified pest issues are manageable by staff).
- 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
- Yes (corrected during inspection) - the Food Handling Permit (FHP) was not being posted in a conspicuous location available for public viewing. At time of inspection, the FHP was posted in behind a framed picture on the side wall at the front sales cash register area. The FHP is current (expiry date of September 30, 2024).This violation was corrected during inspection, as the FHP was re-positioned on the side wall so as to be visible for public viewing. Operator is to ensure the FHP is always visible and on display for public view.
- 24. Is solid and liquid waste being managed in a suitable manner?
- No - the above-ground grease trap at the 3-compartment sinks has been removed and must be re-installed.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
