- 1) Tanning beds and high touch surfaces are cleaned using diluted PreEmpt. A recommendation was provided to the operator to use the double‑wipe method: the first wipe to clean the surface, and the second to disinfect.It was also recommended that the operator use a disinfectant with a shorter contact time or ensure the manufacturer’s required contact time is followed (surface must remain visibly wet for the full contact time before wiping dry).2) A jug of PreEmpt concentrate observed expired (October 2025). Operator put it on the side during the inspection.

- Low-level disinfectants used on environmental surfaces were all well past their expiry dates. Contact time on quat based disinfectant was 10 minutes. It was indicated that surfaces were wiped clean of the disinfectant before 10 minutes lapsed. Please obtain new low-level disinfectant for use on surfaces and ensure the manufacturer's instructions for use are followed.

- Hand sanitizer in the service room for use to clean hands before performing a service was past its expiry date of Feb. 2023. Please obtain new alcohol-based hand sanitizer that is between 60 - 90% alcohol and has an expiry well into the future. Check expiry dates of chemicals regularly.
